Wisdom from God is good and considered to be a gift from Him. However, pursuing wisdom and knowledge as an end in themselves is just one more form of idolatry and outside of God is meaningless. God’s wisdom leads us to see our need for Him and the gospel.

Ecclesiastes 1:18: "Because in much wisdom there is much grief, and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain."

Ecclesiastes 2:13: "And I saw that wisdom excels folly as light excels darkness."
