Paul absolutely nails it once and for all that according to his gospel, we are all under the cruel reign of sin and none of us has an excuse before God for our rebellion against Him. We are in need of His forgiveness! This essential truth about our sin paves the way for the grace and forgiveness offered by the gospel. As Christians we should not be afraid to call sin “sin†and we should take the lead in humbly confessing our own sin before God. This allows us to accept his gift of grace through Jesus Christ.
