God’s goal for us as believers, those who love Him and are called by Him to salvation, is to become like His son Jesus. We can be confident in a sovereign God who uses even the trials and bad stuff of life for His purposes of making us like Jesus. God is not about our comfort, rather He is about our character which is ultimately about our good.

Romans 8:28: And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
