We are clay in the potter's hands and He has a right to do what He wants with us. Thankfully He's a merciful God and invites us in. Those who were not His people and who were not loved are now loved by God and adopted into His family and called His sons and daughters.
Romans 9:20: On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?
Romans 9:25: As He says also in Hosea,
"I WILL CALL THOSE WHO WERE NOT MY PEOPLE, 'MY PEOPLE,'
AND HER WHO WAS NOT BELOVED, 'BELOVED.'"
