When we die we will leave behind all that we have labored for in this life. While that can be kind of depressing to think about, it reminds us that there is so much more to this life than just living to produce. This sobering thought points us to live life before the face of God (coram deo) and enjoy the blessings He has given us and yet not live enslaved to those blessings.

Ecclesiastes 2:21: "When there is a man who has labored with wisdom, knowledge and skill, then he gives his legacy to one who has not labored with them. This too is vanity and a great evil."
