Where did you grow up? -In Southern California, a mile from the beach, in the South Bay area.
What's your family like? -Married to Wilma for 17 years and we have five kids, ages 13-4, and one on the way! Wilma and I are both Cal Poly SLO engineering grads.
What are your hobbies? -Travel, wrestling with my kids, coaching my kids, surfing, dating my wife, people, growing things
What is your favorite bible verse or quote? -Verses- Romans 5:8, Mt. 16:24, 2Cor. 5:21, Mt. 28:19-20; Quotes- "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." -Jim Elliot, and "Wilma!" -Fred Flintstone.
Who is the most influential person related to your ministry? -My wife, a couple of long term friends (2 pastors and 2 former roomates), the Fields elders.
What was the last book you read? -Go Dog Go and Fox and Socks by Dr. Seuss, also John Stott's Commentary on Romans and C. John Miller's Repentance
Who is your favorite author? -Michael J. Wilkins, C.S. Lewis, John Stott, Wayne Grudem, recently C. John Miller
What's on your iPod? -U2, and from there, a mix of Fernado Ortega, Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, Weezer, Creed, Third Day, Jars of Clay
What's a favorite trip you've been on? -Before I got married, I back packed around the world by myself for 6 and a half months going from Europe to the Middle East to Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Wilma and I lived in New Zealand for three months and traveled both islands extensively. Drove across the US and back twice with four kids in our van.
What's your favorite indulgence? -Watching a movie or sitting in the hot tub with my wife, spending the day at the beach, surfing in warm water.
What's a surprising fact about you? -I have a shy side.
David Martinelli

Where did you grow up? Aurora, Illinois, just outside Chicago
What's your family like? -I have a fantastic wife and 4 sweet little critters! Diane and I have been married for 10 years. Isabella is 9, Lucca is 7, Anteo is 4 and Sofia is nearly 2.
What are your hobbies? -I’m a musician. I love to play piano and sing. Also, I enjoy working out and eating great Italian food!

What's a favorite trip you've been on? -One was spending the summer in Rome on a missions trip 9 years ago. Loved it! Then going to Hawaii for our 10th anniversary with my wife! Just her and I for 8 days! Incredible!
What's your favorite indulgence? -Any carb! Like a good italian boy!
What's a surprising fact about you? -I like to dance!
John Haynes

Where did you grow up? -Rancho Palos Verdes.
What's your family like? -I met my wife walking into church in 2000. We were married in 2001. We have two beautiful children; Makayla born in 2003 and Braden born in 2006.
What are your hobbies? -Surfing. Don't have time for much else!

What's a favorite trip you've been on? -My honeymoon to Kauai in 2001. My wife and I scored an upgraded plantation cottage, epic surf, amazing shave ice (Jo Jo's rocks!). Just a blessed time with the most amazing woman on the planet.

What's a surprising fact about you? -I have an irrational fear of bees!
Amanda Yager
Administrative Assistant
Where did you grow up? -Bremerton, WA. About an hour west of Seattle.
What's your family like? -My parents have been married for over almost 35 years. My brother is married and had 2 kids and my sister is married and has 2 kids. I’m not married and don’t have 2 kids. They all live up in Washington State. The Fields has become my family now and I love them dearly.
What are your hobbies? -Quilting, sewing, rock climbing, camping. I enjoy reading a good book when I have the patience to sit down and do that.

What's on your iPod? -I like music from Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah!, The Decembrists, Death Cab for Cutie, Hard-Fi, The Hold Steady, Iron & Wine, Fiest, The White Stripes, Rosie Thomas and Beruit to name a few. Can’t really say I have a favorite band; that just wouldn’t be fair!
What's a favorite trip you've been on? -The last two summers I’ve gone on really great vacations with the Fandeys. We cram just about everything there is to see or do along the way or where we are going. With 5 kids, there’s never a dull moment!
What's your favorite indulgence? -Fabric. If I could buy all the fabric at Jo-Ann, then I would. I work there part time as well, and everyday I’m faced with temptation.
What's a surprising fact about you? -From first appearances, you probably wouldn’t believe that I was in the Marine Corps. I served 4 years on active duty and another 6 months in the reserves.
Matt Kersh

Where did you grow up? -I grew up in Texas. Born in Corpus Christi but spent most of my life in the San Antonio area (Boerne, Texas). FYI: Texas is more beautiful, interesting, & bigger, YES, bigger than most folks realize!
What's your family like? -I am married to the love of my life, Carly; she’s truly fantastic! She’s the perfect complement to me & I thank God for her every day. We have a beautiful Goldendoodle puppy named Milly & she’s pretty fantastic too…even more so when she’s not tearing up my yard.
What are your hobbies? -music (writing, playing, listening, discovering), reading theology & literature, basketball, linguistics, phenomenal conversations with a close friend.

Who is the most influential person related to your ministry? -In this season of my ministry, I would say the most influential person is Dr. John Coe, who teaches at Biola University in Talbot School of Theology & Rosemead School of Psychology; his impact on my life has been huge.
What was the last book you read? -The Rule of St. Benedict by Esther de Waal
Who is your favorite author? -A.W. Tozer, Frederick Buechner, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, John Steinbeck,& Paul…Saint Paul…nothing to with Saint Paul, Minnesota…Paul the Apostle.

What's a favorite trip you've been on? -I went on a trip to Denmark a number of years ago for ministry & it was incredible experience. One day we went to the “beach” (totally different from our SoCal beaches) & it started snowing heavily & the contrast of the blue ocean on one side & the snowy hills on the other was just about the most hauntingly beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Also, after Carly & I got married we went to Tahiti & stayed in an over-water-bungalow in Bora Bora…WOW.

What's a surprising fact about you? -I’ve broken my left arm 4 times & I was homeschooled until I went to college.
Patrick Crandall

Where did you grow up? -All over the place. I was born in Texas, was raised mostly in Michigan and Kentucky, and went to college in Alabama. There was a little bit of Iowa, North Carolina, and Virginia mixed in along the way.
Please tell us about your family. -My parents, Barry and Kim, live in Wyoming where he pastors a small church and she helps out, particularly with the kids. I've got one younger sister, Katie. She's commuting right now between Nashville, where she works, and Atlanta, where her husband in grad school.
What are your hobbies? -I'm a sports nut- if there is a ball or a stick involved, count me in. I haven't done much of it, but I have loved the traveling I've done. I love games and people. I'm a pretty big reader too, and books are made better if you can combine them with tea and/or a fire.

Who is the most influential person related to your ministry? -John Piper, Olan Stubbs (my college mentor), and my dad. David Platt and Francis Chan have also had a big impact on the way I think about ministry.
What was the last book you read? -Counterfeit Gods by Tim Keller
Who are your favorite authors? -This is tough. C.S. Lewis, John Piper, Leif Enger, A.W Tozer, Tim Keller, J.R.R. Tolkien, John Stott, Steven Pressfield, Jerry Bridges, Khaled Hosseini, etc.
What's on your ipod? -Everything. Right now I'm listening to a lot of Mat Kearney, Needtobreathe, OneRepublic, David Crowder Band, and Hillsong United.
What's a favorite trip you've been on? -I went to Poland between my junior and senior years of high school. It was amazing on a lot of levels- the geography, the architecture, and especially the people.
What's your favorite indulgence? -An afternoon of football with all the accessories, primarily fat and sugar.

Where did you grow up? -Born and raised in Oceanside, CA.
What’s your family like? -I’m the oldest of four and I still live at home with my parents who have been married 27 years, but on May 22, 2010 my fiancé Jason and I are getting married!
What are your hobbies? -Soccer, art, photography, being at the beach, spending time with my family and Jason, spending time with the HS and Jr high students, and naps!
What is your favorite bible verse? -Isaiah 40:30-31, 1 Timothy 4:12

What’s on your ipod? -I love listening to sermons on my ipod, but when it comes to music I’m all over the place. I like Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Beyonce, Creed, Owl City and Phil Wickham, just to name a few.
Tell us about a favorite trip/s you’ve been on -I’ve been to Ghana, Africa twice for medical missions trips. I taught on abstinence and helped with a sports ministry. I would live there if I could and I can't wait to return again.
What’s your favorite indulgence? -Chocolate and naps.
What’s something people would be the most surprised to know about you? -I had a soccer scholarship to Biola, but had to turn it down.

What's your family like? - I have one daughter, Megan and a sister in Texas and one in PA
What are your hobbies? -I love to read, walk at the beach and volunteer in commmunity activities.

What's on your iPod? -I like jazz, reggae, contemporary rock and good old rock and roll. The Eagles are my favorite group.
What's a favorite trip you've been on? -Italy, and my very favorite is New Zealand. I would love to live there.
What's your favorite indulgence? -Right now it's cherry ice cream with chocolate and cherry chunks. My favorite flavor is chocolate.
What's a surprising fact about you? -I used to fingerpick on the guitar and had shoulder length hair

What's your family like? -My family consists of my husband, Shane, our son Ethan, 4 3/4 years old, our daughter Tegan, 2 1/2 years old, and our cat Maeby, 5 1/2 years old.
What are your hobbies? -spending time with my family, reading, quilting, sewing,
crafting, traveling, and sleeping.
